SYCOA – Embedded Data Recording

Solutions

Discover our Spherea Recorder

Precision recording for complex systems.

Spherea Recorder is an embedded system meant to collect specific equipment buses and information into a decoded and precisely timestamped output format.

Leveraging Spherea’s U-TEST® real-time core to implement and monitor required protocols, along with a dedicated user interface to configure, supervise and consolidate data, SPHEREA Recorder enables precise acquisition from simple systems to complex, multi-platform architectures.

Its adaptability makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including military vehicles, electric civilian vehicles, naval vessels, avionics, and drones.

Applications

Since 2018, Spherea has been cooperating with tns-MARS, a joint venture formed by Thalès, KNDS and Safran, to develop the data collection system used to validate the SCORPION programme for military vehicles, as part of the SYCOA project.

SYCOA (Système de Collecte et d’Analyse) decodes and captures vehicle bus data in real time via U-TEST®-specific drivers, developed in partnership with tns-MARS. It ensures precise time synchronisation using GPS, Galileo, and NTP sources.

The collected data is then analyzed in parallel over all vehicles, to identify any unexpected behaviours outside of the original specifications, to validate new features or provide feedback on specific hardware revisions.

Why choose Spherea's recorder?

  • Autonomous data collection from configured probes
  • Scalability to embedded and laboratory hardware
  • Embedded U-TEST® real-time core with automated control
  • User interface tailored specifically to the target project
  • Cybersecurity implementations for Linux (SPHEREA SSI)
  • Precise time synchronisation via dedicated GPS/Galileo receivers or laboratory NTP sources
  • Standardisation of protocol formats into common units using U-TEST®
